    Unions File Lawsuit Against DHS to Stop the Illegal Termination of TSA Officers’ Collective Bargaining Agreement

    March 18, 2025 — Last week, AFA joined a coalition of unions to file a lawsuit against Secretary of Homeland Security Kristi Noem, the Department of Homeland Security, the Transportation Security Administration (TSA), and TSA Senior Official Adam Stahl for the unlawful and unilateral termination of a negotiated union contract. The union contract protects approximately 47,000 Transportation Security Officers (TSOs).

    AFA Hawaiian Flight Attendants Reach Extension Tentative Agreement

    March 18, 2025 — AFA Hawaiian Flight Attendants reached a Tentative Agreement on a Contract Extension through February 2028. This Extension includes continued pay increases, retirement improvements, better profit sharing, and a strong foundation to build upon as negotiations for a Joint Collective Bargaining Agreement (JCBA) begin this month. This provides a second bite at the apple for all Hawaiian and Alaska Flight Attendants claiming their share of the benefits of the merged airline. Read the press release here.

    March 18, 2025 — Last month, the Department of Transportation tentatively certified SkyWest Charter to begin operating as a commuter air carrier, over the objections of our union, the IAM, PASS, and ALPA.
